Do I have to be a member of a participating
church for my child to play?
No you do not. The league is open to all faiths and denominations.
When does the league start?
Practices will start in November. The 9-11, 12-14 and HS leagues will start in December.
The league will break for Thanksgiving and Christmas and the games will resume after
the Christmas holiday. The 5-6 and 7-8 leagues will start in January.
When does the season ends?
The season is
schedule to end by the first week of March.
Weather and unforeseen events may cause
changes in the schedule.
When are the games?
The 5-6 youth games will be on Saturday mornings. The 7-8, 9-11 and 12-14
games will be on Saturdays while the HS girls and boys games will be on Monday and
Tuesday nights.
When and where are the practices?
Practices will start in November. Please
check with your coach to determine when and
where the practices will be.
Where are the games?
Depending on the league, games will be played at Eastminister Presbyterian Church,
Smoke Rise Baptist Church, Mt. Carmel Christian Church,
Mt. Park Baptist Church
,
Tucker First Baptist Church
and
Mt. Park Methodist Church
.
As other churches join the league, additional sites
will be added.
What is the cost?
The cost for the 5-6 league will be $95, and ages 7 - High School will be $115. Men's leagues are still to be determined for the 2008-2009 season.

How do I pay?
You can pay by debit card, credit card or e-check. You should receive an e-mail confirmation
of your transaction.
What happens if my child decides not to play,
do I get my money back?
If you request in writing a refund before the first game, you will get a refund
less
$10 for the processing fee.
When is the deadline to register?
The initial deadline is
October 31, 2008
.
The second registration period will be from November 1 to November 15.
If you wait to register during the second registration period, there will be an
additional
$10 surcharge added to the above mentioned
prices. Also roster spaces will be limited and maybe closed after the October 31,
2008 deadline.
What kind of devotional material is used?
During the season, your child will be given devotional materials from his or her
coach. Devotionals will be done before, during or after practice
depending on the coach's practice plan. The youth will also receive New Testament
Sports Bibles and other materials that deal with emotional and spiritual development. "Fan
Mail" which is based on the "Fruit of the Spirit" is given out to the younger
youth after the games.
Are there tryouts?
There are not any tryouts, however, churches with more than one team in an age group
will have a skills evaluation day in order to balance out the teams.
What if I sign my child up to play for a
certain church but there are not enough players in his/her age group to form a team?
We will place your child on another church team that will be the general area where
you live. Depending on the circumstances, we will merge the two smaller
church teams together to make one team,
Can my child play on the team with his/her
friend?
Due to the many factors involved in trying to make fair and balanced teams, we can
not always grant your request though we will take your request under consideration
when the teams are formed.
When you register, write the friend's name down
in the general information section.
My child really liked his coach last year.
Can he play on the coach's team this year?
As stated in the previous answer, please make your request when you register.
We will review the requests and then make the appropriate decision deemed necessary
in order to create balanced teams.
